Accessibility Statement
Effective May 27, 2026
Steel Shade Kits, LLC is committed to making steelshadekits.com usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We treat accessibility as an ongoing engineering responsibility, not a one-time audit.
1. Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.
2. Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML for headings, landmarks, lists, and form controls so assistive technologies can navigate the site
- Descriptive
alttext for meaningful imagery andaria-hiddenon purely decorative graphics - Visible keyboard focus rings on all interactive elements
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA ratios
- Text that scales when the user enlarges the browser font size, with no fixed-pixel containers that clip content
- Forms with labels, helpful error messages, and clear required-field indicators
- Honoring user preferences such as
prefers-reduced-motionwhere animation could cause discomfort - Routine review of new pages and components before they ship
3. Known Limitations
Some areas of the Site rely on 3D rendering and scroll- driven interactions. We provide text alternatives and ensure the underlying content is reachable without the visualizer, but the 3D experience itself is supplemental rather than essential to understanding our products. Third-party embeds (for example, mapping or payment widgets) may not always meet our internal standard; we escalate gaps to those vendors and provide an alternative path where possible.
4. Compatibility
The Site is designed to work with the current and prior major versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile, in combination with screen readers including VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS. If you use an older browser or assistive technology and encounter a problem, please let us know.
5. Report an Accessibility Barrier
If you experience a barrier on the Site or have a suggestion to improve accessibility, we want to hear from you. Please include:
- The page or feature where you ran into a problem
- The browser, operating system, and any assistive technology you were using
- A short description of what happened

We aim to respond to accessibility reports within two business days and to resolve verified issues as quickly as our engineering schedule permits.
6. Formal Complaints
If we are unable to resolve an accessibility issue to your satisfaction, you may file a complaint with the applicable enforcement authority in your jurisdiction — for example, the U.S. Department of Justice under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or your state’s civil rights office.
7. Continuous Improvement
Accessibility work is never finished. We track issues, test new features against our standard before release, and update this statement as the Site evolves.
