Terms of Service

By accessing the Site, requesting a quote, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or order our products.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Site or order from us. If you are ordering on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business to these Terms.

Pricing displayed on the Site and provided in informal quotes is for general reference and does not constitute an offer to sell. All pricing is subject to confirmation at the time we issue a written order acknowledgement. We may update pricing at any time without notice.

Quotes are typically valid for thirty (30) days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. Steel pricing, coating costs, and freight rates fluctuate; we reserve the right to re-quote if material conditions change before acceptance.

An order is binding only when we issue a written order acknowledgement. Payment terms are stated on each order acknowledgement. Full payment is generally required before kits ship. We accept payment by the methods identified at checkout or invoice.

You are responsible for verifying that the size, layout, and specifications of the kit you order are correct prior to fabrication. Custom-fabricated kits are non-refundable once production has begun.

Shipping timelines are estimates and not guarantees. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier (FOB Origin) unless otherwise stated on your order acknowledgement. You are responsible for inspecting shipments upon arrival and noting any visible damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt.

Steel Shade Kits provides engineered steel kits, hardware, and engineer-stamped drawings. We do not install kits at your site unless you have separately contracted with a certified installer through our installer program.

• You are solely responsible for site preparation, soil conditions, drainage, and structural ground anchoring.
• You must follow our published installation instructions and the engineer-stamped drawings. Deviation from these voids the structural warranty.
• Personal protective equipment, lifting equipment, and proper construction safety practices are your responsibility.

You are responsible for obtaining any building permits and ensuring the installation complies with applicable building codes, zoning, HOA requirements, and other local regulations. The engineer-stamped drawings we provide are intended to support permit submission; final approval rests with your local authority having jurisdiction.

Each kit ships with a written limited warranty that accompanies the product documentation. The written limited warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty for our products. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THAT WRITTEN LIMITED WARRANTY, OUR PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STEEL SHADE KITS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE, THE PRODUCTS, OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to a specific kit will not exceed the amount you paid us for that kit.

The Site, including its design, text, graphics, photos, 3D models, engineering drawings, and software, is owned by Steel Shade Kits or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any of it without our prior written consent. “Steel Shade Kits” and our logo are trademarks of Steel Shade Kits, LLC.

If you submit information, photos, or other content to us through the Site (for example, with a quote request or installer application), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that content for the purpose of responding to you, fulfilling your order, and improving our business. You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide.

You agree to indemnify and hold Steel Shade Kits harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Site or our products, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Steel Shade Kits, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our products will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in that state, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above. For material changes, we will provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Site or our products after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order acknowledgement we issue, constitute the entire agreement between you and Steel Shade Kits regarding the Site and our products.
